I know. At home there is a lot of investigation I wish to do. We will cross paths again. We'll see what the future holds and how things end up. But none of that is the case here.

I need to adjust to some physical changes first. But soon, I promise. According to a local, I've become a dire wolf familiar. As a wolf I'm quite big. I think I need a bigger bed.

Do you make a habit of sleeping as a wolf?

Sometimes I do. It depends on how I feel. I did it a lot during the winter...and while Diluc was gone.

How do you settle your mind with the changes to your body?

The first days weren't easy. Four feet is a mess when you don't know how to stand. But I was determined to figure out what had been added to me. I did a lot of walking. Running.

I couldn't put away my ears and tail, ever. I used to sit in the forest and try to separate the sounds. The smells. I guess all of this is to say I made them mine.

And I'm far less put out about being turned into a unicorn than I should be. Everyone's face when I walk by is so priceless.

...it's the least stressful thing to happen here. It's something to focus on.

But, I can't say I would be as jazzed if I were a legend. There's too much abyss in my wings. I would get used to it. But it would take longer. I think I have it easier. Being a wolf ...if I get into trouble, I can be fur and teeth. People respect that. And I don't have hang ups about it.
